Quick-fix to your oversalted soup
Of course, always season your cookings reasonably, but when unwanted things happen you can always savage it with a little fix. Here's what we've found helpful:
Plop a peeled potato in your over-salted soup/stew and leave it until about cook. You'll notice your dish will reduce in saltiness.
(in some cases where there were too much salt, this trick may or not be as effective)
