Cheesy Wedges

Ingredients

Baked Potatoes

  • 2 potatoes (350 g)
  • 1/4 tsp of salt
  • 1/4 tsp of paprika
  • 1/2 tsp of white pepper powder
  • 1/2 tbsp of oil

Cheese Sauce

  • 5 slices (100 g) of American cheddar cheese
  • 1/2 tbsp of corn starch
  • 1/2 cup of evaporated milk
  • 1/2 tbsp of chili sauce
  • 3/4 tsp of garlic powder
  • 1/4 tsp of white pepper powder
  • 1/4 tsp of salt
  • Mayonnaise

Direction

  1. Peel the potatoes and slice into wedges. Place the potatoes into a mixing bowl and season with salt, paprika, pepper, and oil. Mix well to combine.
  2. Line baking tray with aluminium foil and place potatoes in one layer. Baked a 200°C for 30 minutes.
  3. Tear cheese into small pieces and add cornstarch into a pot. Toss to combine.
  4. Add 1/2 cup evaporated milk into the pot.
  5. Cook over low heat, stirring constantly with whisk until melted, bubbly, and thickened for around 5 minutes. Mixture will look thin at first but will thicken after heating.
  6. Season with chili sauce, garlic powder, white pepper, and salt.
  7. Pour cheese sauce over baked potato and drizzle with mayonnaise.
